My professional path

After spending a decade in the advertising world, in 2021 I took a leap and started my own small company - a boutique remote team building service. I failed to find product-market-fit but learned many valuable lessons at the intersection of entrepreneurship, tech and sales.

Mid 2023 I switched to helping various clients as a freelance web developer. Here's a quick rundown of some tools I like and things that have kept me busy lately:

• Bandwidth Optimization
  I helped some clients significantly reduce their bandwidth usage, leading to substantial cost savings in website hosting. This was achieved by developing an semi-automated system that scans and identifies resource-intensive assets across entire websites and landing pages that give a clear picture of the assets being used. I then started optimizations by either finding solutions that worked within their setup, or by utilizing external services like hosting assets on cloud providers. I distilled parts of my work into my open-source project

• Custom integration
  I extended a clients' e-commerce functionalities by extending a Shopify plugin that helped them sell their product in 7 languages. This challenge involved Webflow, Shopify (via Shopify BuyButton), and a custom integration via Netlify.

• Password protection
  I developed a solution for adding a password protection to websites with just a line of code. This project allows clients to secure their websites by simply adding a script which has server-side authentication for enhanced security.

• Marketing Strategy
  In my previous professional life, I managed media budgets from big corporations (in the range 7-8 figures/year) and helped them plan, execute and evaluate media campaigns across all channels (TV, (Digital) Posters, Radio, Digital Media etc.) over the course of 10 years. This experience gave me a practical and insightful perspective at how big cooperations operate.
