Hosting
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you visit the site, Vercel processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, requested pages and the time of access in server logs. This is necessary to deliver the website securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Transfers to the USA are based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
Analytics
I use PostHog and Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to understand how the site is used and how fast it loads. Both work without cookies or other storage on your device and do not track you across websites. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in improving the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
PostHog is provided by PostHog Inc., 2261 Market St. #4008, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA, and the data is stored on PostHog's EU servers in Frankfurt, Germany. It records page views, clicks and technical information such as browser, device type, referring website and approximate location. To recognise a visit without cookies, PostHog creates a hash from your IP address and browser information combined with a salt that changes daily, so you cannot be recognised across days. Your IP address itself is not stored. Data is transmitted through this website's own domain. I have concluded a data processing agreement with PostHog. Any transfers to the USA are based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. See the PostHog privacy policy for details.
Contact Form
If you send a message through the contact form, the details you enter (name, email address, optional budget and your message) are transmitted to the form service Web3Forms, which forwards them to me by email. I use this data only to answer your inquiry and, where relevant, to prepare a potential project (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Your data is deleted once it is no longer needed for this purpose, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
hCaptcha
To protect the contact form from spam, I use hCaptcha by Intuition Machines, Inc., 350 Alabama St, San Francisco, CA 94110, USA. hCaptcha loads when the page is opened and analyses data such as your IP address, browser information and interaction with the page to tell humans and bots apart. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in protecting the form from abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Data may be transferred to the USA; see the hCaptcha privacy policy for details.
Local Storage
If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage. This information stays on your device and is never sent to me.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict its processing, to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 15–21 GDPR). To exercise these rights, just get in touch. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
